I got my pictures from the beach photo shoot and I absolutely love them! They turned out great.

More Wedding Pictures

Teri, my mother-in-law, had these awesome pictures on her website. (www.pless.net) So, now I can share them with my friends! I am still waiting for my wedding pictures from our photographers. Good thing Teri, Holly, and Carissa took pictures or else I wouldn't have anything to share!
This is one of my favorite pictures! Mike and I were at the top of the Temple and it just started to sprinkle. In the middle of shots, Mike decided to kiss my neck (something he loves to do because I am ticklish there.) Plus, we got some of San Fransisco in the background.
This is me and Mike at the front of the temple. I love this shot. The overcast made it really cool.
This shot was taken right after Mike and I walked out of the Temple. It was a little overwhelming to have everyone taking pictures, and the fact that it was cold, but you can see how happy we both are! Plus, my bouquet looks awesome!!

Hawaii Honeymoon

Hawaii was amazing! We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center, the Hawaii Temple, a luau, the Waikiki Zoo, and the North Shore. It was the perfect way to relax after our wedding.
We were on the island of Oahu and we stayed at this JW Marriott hotel which was amazing. The hotel had a private lagoon, so we never had to fight for beach space. Mike and I spent so much time by the pool or the beach. We even swam next to sea turtles! It was pretty cool.
We spent a day at the Polynesian Cultural Center thanks to Camille, Mike's boss. He bought us Ambassador passes which meant we had a special tour, awesome seats at the fire show and shell leis.
Mike and I got temporary tattoos at one of the islands. I thought they were pretty cool...but I think Mike just got one to match mine. We also learned how to throw spears and just for the record...mine was pretty close to the target. My village would have great protection!

We went to a luau and had these amazing pina coladas...virgin style of course. ;) If anyone knows my mom, she LOVES pina coladas and these would have made her proud! Plus, anything that comes in a pineapple shell and with a flower is just fun!

Overall, it was a great vacation. It was weird not having family around us though. We both were so use to family vacations...but it was fun starting our own family traditions. The only thing that was NOT perfect was the fact that Saturday, I got a major sunburn on my back and legs...the next day we were on a flight for 6 hours. That was not my idea of a great flight.

I cannot wait to go back! Hawaii is gorgeous and so much fun! Aloha!!

My Car

So, I finally found the picture of my car after the accident. It was a little difficult to drive it out of the intersection...as you can see. But, thankfully, one of the witnesses held my bumper while I drove. (Never thought I would have to say that.)
Now my car is in the shop and I should be reunited in a few weeks...which is a good thing because the cop car isn't my cup of tea. (Sorry Mike!)

Just wanted to say 'Thanks'!

Mike and I hit the one month mark last Saturday! I know...big accomplishment! :) But we both agreed that we had one crazy, busy month. From moving into our new apartment, getting in car accidents, combining two lives, and having the perfect wedding and reception...we are exhausted. But, that is not the point of this post...
After letting the dust settle, I realized how grateful I am for friends and family in my life. Mike and I have received so much support and love from those around us and it fills my heart with joy. We are so lucky to have great friends that keep in touch with us and family that loves us.
Yesterday was my parent's anniversary and I started thinking how grateful I am for them. Not only did they sacrifice for my perfect wedding and receptions, they have always guided me and comforted me when needed. I have to let the world know that these two people are my heroes. They have been so selfless and loving that it blows my mind. So, while thanking everyone for the advice, support and love...I need to especially thank my family for everything they have done for me. Without their support and love, I would be lost! Love you guys!!

Trashing the Wedding Dress

I read about this creative idea in a wedding magazine. After the wedding and the reception, you get back into your wedding dress and take amazing pictures with them and you trash it! I think this is the most liberating experience for a bride! It is mind-boggling not to care about how clean your dress is!

So, on Monday, my photographer friend, Karyn, and I went to Manhattan Beach to have some fun! I was sitting on benches, leaning against railings and laying on the beach! The real fun started as soon as I started walking on the beach and into the water. The water was freezing, but it was so worth it! My dress got so heavy once it was wet, but the pictures look amazing! Plus, after awhile, your legs go numb anyways.

We also started drawing a crowd! People were yelling from the pier not to get to close to the water or else I would get wet. Then when they saw me run into a wave, I think someone screamed. It was quite entertaining.

It was just a super fun experience and my dress is perfectly fine...it is at the dry cleaners right now. Our dry cleaner almost had a heart attack when he saw the dress, but promised to get all the sand out of it.

I just don't see the point of sealing your dress without having some fun first! I think this was the perfect way to end my wedding experience! By the way, more pictures will come...these are just the teaser shots I got from Karyn.
